About the Site
The PrepareNow.org website was created in 1998
by David Carroll on behalf of the PrepareNow Partners with assistance
from the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services Coastal
Region and the Federal
Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Many of the original documents
were developed as public domain works, funded by the Northern California
Disaster Preparedness Network (1992-97). The site is hosted by abagOnline,
a service of the Association of Bay Area Governments. PrepareNow.org
was redesigned in 2003 by the Resource
Design Group with support from a United
Way of the Bay Area grant to the PrepareNow Partners.
