San Francisco CARD is a coalition of traditional disaster responders and community service providers, dedicated to preparing the community to mitigate and respond to a major disaster and creating community linkages.

How can CARD help? Training: CARD will come to your agency to train your employees in personal preparedness, the Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS), or volunteer management. Planning: CARD can assist your agency in developing an agency disaster plan. Your plan will include four areas of emergency management: mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. Exercises: CARD can assist with your disaster preparedness efforts by helping your agency coordinate regular disaster exercises. This helps identify problems in your disaster planning efforts before the disaster. Coordination: CARD helps your organization network with other community-based organizations and with the City.
